The advent of the computer has made it easier for every living soul around the world to gain access to the internet and access any information free at their disposal. Computing made a significant impact on the development and growth of education in Nigeria. Among the dividend of ICT is the recent introduction of computer-based test examinations introduced into higher institutions of learning Nigeria.

The impact of (ICT) on educational development in Nigeria cannot be over-emphasized as ICT plays a vital role, especially in improving and empowering educational activities technologically. The implementation of ICT in our educational sector will make the industry more effective and productive. In other words, technology (internet) is the most effective way that can increase the student's output and knowledge.

ICT (internet) has played a significant role in our lives, especially in the educational sector. The education authority should use its power and strategies to empower ICT in implementing and supporting the teaching and learning procedures in the classroom. ICT is not just making steady progress on educational activities, but also to put in place meaningfully improved and effective instructional methods.

Furthermore, to achieve this aim, the educational system in the Nigerian educational system should be reformed, and ICT should be embedded in primary and tertiary education curriculum. There should be a total overhauling of the education sector in other not to let our country lack behind in ICT among other nations of the world.

The Strategy for Information and Communication Technology implementation's primary purpose in the Nigerian education system is to make available the prospects and trends of integrating information and communication technology into the curriculum of education.

Below are steps to be taken to achieve an outstanding ICT growth.

The teacher needs a vital role to play in this regard by becoming the principal initiator, motivator, and implementer of the ICT at schools. There should be a social change in teachers' teaching activities. They should be able to transform the old classical method into a new modern one. Part of the global adjustment will need from the start of the teaching and learning modification.

The effect of ICT, especially the internet (open source tools), cannot be neglected in the lives of our students. Therefore, a new orientation and reformulation process must be put in place to replace the manual source of information with the open-source. The extensive use of internet access must be an inevitable policy that school authorities should strictly follow.

The implementation of ICT in education has not been a priority as the people in authority aid little attention to it. Therefore, there should be active participation, initiative, and awareness of the schools and the government institutions to enhance ICT implementation at school.

Conclusion

In conclusion, with the above points, our youth of the present generation will have free access to information, knowledge, and understanding through the browsing of the internet. By so doing, it will afford our students the opportunity to compete with other students around the world technologically.
